Ford pleased to get home semi-final dates in the diary for Poole Pirates

Promoter Danny Ford was pleased to be proactive in shaping Poole Pirates’ season, with two key semi-final home legs now announced.

Pirates will host Scunthorpe in the first leg of their Knockout Cup semi-final clash on Wednesday, July 24 (7.30pm).

Neil Middleditch’s side booked their place in the last four of that competition with a 92-87 aggregate victory over Edinburgh Monarchs.

And having finished top of their BSN Series group, defending champions Poole will host Workington in the semi-final of that competition on Wednesday, August 21 (7.30pm).

Ford said: "We have been working hard behind the scenes to sort out dates for these two competitions and I am pleased that we have now been able to secure our home legs.

“At the present time we cannot give any insight as to when the prospective away legs will be diarised for, but I would like to assure all our supporters that we are determined to get this resolved as soon as possible.”

Pirates return to SGB Championship action on Wednesday, when they host Plymouth Gladiators.
