'Different level' - Scott says Brooks 'one of the best I've played with'
Alex Scott heaped praise on his AFC Bournemouth team-mate David Brooks and labelled him “one of the best players I’ve played with”.
Brooks played a starring role as Cherries blew away Championship outfit Swansea City 5-0 in the FA Cup fourth round at Vitality Stadium.
The Warrington-born star scored one and grabbed two assists, with Andoni Iraola’s side scoring all five goals in the first half against their Welsh opponents.
Brooks has started just twice in the Premier League this season, making 13 league appearances in total.
But having started all but one fixture in cup competitions, midfielder Scott was keen to compliment the former Sheffield United youngster.
Speaking about Brooks on afcbTV, Scott said: “He’s different level. I think he’s one of the best players I’ve played with.
“His technical ability is just different class and he can produce moments like he did. He really pushed us on to get the win.
“We’re thankful to Brooksy but I think, to a man, the whole team were brilliant. We’re into the next round, so we’re happy.”

Cherries took the lead after just seven minutes, Brooks’s menacing free-kick was rifled home by the unmarked Lloyd Kelly.
Wales international Brooks was then at it again three minutes later. He burst down the right and saw his cutback swept home by Scott.
Leeds United loanee Luis Sinisterra cut on to his right foot and found the bottom corner from inside the box. Brooks then got on the scoresheet himself with just 35 minutes on the clock.
As Cherries continued to show their class, Sinisterra then picked out the run of Dominic Solanke to cap off the scoring a minute before the break.
Scott added: “To win how we did was a great feeling and we are into the next round. We will be looking out for the draw and hopefully we can kick on again.”
Now into the last 16, Cherries await the outcome of Sunday’s draw.
