Iraola welcomes addition of 'proven goalscorer' Unal to AFC Bournemouth
AFC Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola believes new frontman Enes Unal “will help us straight away” after he penned a deadline-day switch from Spanish outfit Getafe.
The deal for the 26-year-old is an initial loan agreement with an obligation to make the move permanent for a reported £14million, provided certain conditions are met.
Unal, a Turkey international, arrives at Vitality Stadium with a record of 34 goals in 104 games for Getafe.
Speaking about the new recruit, following his side’s 1-1 draw with West Ham, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I think it is going to be a good addition.
“He is a proven goalscorer in La Liga. He has been successful there.
“It is true he comes from an ACL (injury), but he has already played some games with Getafe and I am sure he will help us straightaway.”

Osmangazi-born Unal began his career with Turkish outfit Bursaspor, before signing for Manchester City in 2015.
He never played a senior game for the Citizens, spending time on loan at Genk, NAC Breda and FC Twente before linking up with Villarreal and then Getafe.
Cherries chief executive Neill Blake told the club website: “We’re really pleased to welcome Enes to the club and believe he’ll add strength to our front line.
“He’s proven that he can score goals in multiple different countries, and we believe he’s got the skillset to succeed in the Premier League.”
Elsewhere on deadline day, Cherries signed young goalkeeper Callan McKenna from Scottish side Queens Park.
Striker Kieffer Moore joined Championship outfit Ipswich on loan, while midfielder Gavin Kilkenny linked up on loan with Fleetwood Town.
Young defender Owen Bevan joined Scottish Premiership side Hibernian on loan, following in the footsteps of midfielder Emi Marcondes.
Development squad captain Ben Greenwood signed for National League Eastleigh on loan until the end of the campaign.
Promising striker Daniel Adu-Adjei joined up with League One Leyton Orient on loan for the rest of the season, following his impressive goalscoring form.
