Cutler 'improving all the time' ahead of Eggington bout
Dorset fighter Lee Cutler vowed to come out on top of his upcoming bout with experienced Sam Eggington in April.
The pair are set to face off at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham next month, with Cutler’s WBC International Silver Super Welterweight crown on the line.
The man nicknamed Chaos won the belt in an impressive performance against Stephen McKenna earlier this year, after being considered a massive underdog.
But Cutler believes he is showing improvements, as he looks to secure his 16th victory as a professional.
He said: "It's an honour to be here and fighting on this sort of stage. A lot of people doubted me.
"I'm improving all the time. Sam Eggington is the biggest name on my record now, or will be.
"April 20 we've got to go at it and there's always going to be one winner and it's going to be me."
Former Parkstone ABC man Cutler is set to face a fighter who dethroned his former stablemate in Joe Pigford at Vitality Stadium back in 2023.
He has previously won the IBO super-welterweight title, as well as the British, Commonwealth and European welterweight titles.
"I enjoy my job. It's that simple," said Eggington, when asked about his motivation ahead of the bout.
"I love what I do. The ambition is to keep the job that you want to do.
"The belts are great with it, you get paid well. All this stuff's great but I enjoy my job and my ambition is to carry on doing that at a high level."
